"When I was ready to return to work after long-term disability, i was frustrated to find that i would have to go through the hiring process all over again. It felt strange to apply for a job that had been mine for years, and even stranger to watch my application sit in limbo for months. Dr. Copich, a friend and mentor, noticed a frustrated Facebook post and generously offered her coaching services. Through many conversations, Dr. Copich encouraged me to accept that I deserve a fresh start, and that I deserve to work with people who appreciate me. Through her network of professional relationships, Dr. Copich was able to point me toward open positions in a district I hadn't considered. She helped me navigate my options and look for the right fit, not just the first open door. I found a part-time position almost immediately. Then Dr. Copich helped me strategize and find the best approach to turn my part-time gig into a full-time permanent position. After just three weeks, I got a great offer and I'm happy to say that I'm starting over, but I'm not starting from the bottom (nowhwere near it). I absolutley love my new job and for the first tiem in a long time, I can say that it's not just because of the students. It's such a beautiful new feeling to come home grateful instead of exhausted."
